“Majestic Redwoods” Lithograph by Frederick W. Becker, circa 1952

Colorful and scenic large folio lithograph of redwoods in the California Sierras, done by well known California painter Frederick W. Becker. Becker was born in South Dakota in 1888 and lived an itinerant life, winding up in California in the 1920’s where he was most active and best known He studied with noted American Impressionists as Hugh Breckenridge, Philip Leslie Hale, Robert Reid and Daniel Garber. He also studied at the Los Angeles School of Art and Design, the Los Angeles Art Students League and the Mackey School of Art in San Francisco.
He died in 1974.

A simple but elegant 3″ gold leaf frame in excellent condition borders this colorful lithograph.
