Made of tin with a rubber tail, this toy was manufactured by The Nomura Toy Industrial Company Ltd., Japan; note “T.N” designation in parallelogram on the underneath (see image), this toy was made in circa 1960. The dog is brightly lithographed in black and white with a predominantly red collar, and a red tongue. It is completely original and in near mint condition and works great. After winding up the key wind on the underneath, place the dog on the floor and release. If on the floor, he will go straight, wagging his tail and moving his snout up and down. If he is on a tabletop, he will get to the edge and make a turn so as not to fall off. I don’t recommend this but if you should do this, keep your hands at the edge of the table so the dog does not fall off. (Short video of action available upon request)
Dimensions: 5 3/4″ long x 2 1/2″ wide x 2 1/2″ high
This toy is from my own personal toy collection of 40 years.
